The beginning years of this journal chronicle my experiences as the primary caregiver for my wife, Marsha, who lived her final six years dealing with the loss of abilities connected with Alzheimer’s disease. My interactions in this role have enriched my life beyond my expectations. I have continued my reflections in a similar manner after her passing on March 22, 2025. My hope is that, by sharing my insights and lessons I have gained from this experience, I may influence readers to look at their own interactions with a loved one who also is living with this disease.
If you have feedback / reflections on any of my writing in this blog, I would encourage you to send your comments to: erniep1951@gmail.com.
